Full specifications

LEP · LASER-EXCITED PHOSPHOR

More reach. Less bulk.

SLB uses fourth-generation LEP to concentrate white light into a tight beam for long-distance search.

From laser to white light
A blue laser excites a phosphor material, which converts its energy into white light. The optics then shape that light into a concentrated beam.
Small source. Tight beam.
An intensely bright, small light-emitting area lets LEP produce high beam intensity with compact optics. A conventional LED design generally needs a larger reflector or lens to approach similar intensity; results depend on the emitter and optical design.
Reach, not just lumens
Lumens measure total light output; candela measures intensity in a direction. SLB prioritizes a concentrated long-range hotspot over broad, close-up illumination.

The laser–phosphor principle has also been used in BMW and Audi laser high-beam systems. SLB applies this class of lighting technology in a handheld format. This does not imply shared components, licensing or brand affiliation.

SLB / PRODUCT FILMS

Included with SLB

One battery. Two ways to use it.

For your light.

SLB uses a removable rechargeable 5,000 mAh battery, on the same battery platform as M3.

A power bank, too.

Out of the light, the same battery can supply power to other devices through USB-C.

Charge the battery, not the light. Remove the battery and connect a USB-C cable to its port. There is no charging port on the light body.

Understand the light

Reach, brightness and beam width are different choices.

M3, M3 Pro and SLB are all long-throw lights. SPARK also reaches with a narrow beam, while electronic zoom lets you change the beam width.

Long throw
A concentrated beam designed for reach. M3 and M3 Pro suit recreational diving, spearfishing and technical-diving backup; SLB focuses on compact long-range search.
Stepless dimming
M3 Pro adjusts brightness continuously. Brightness adjustment does not, by itself, change the beam angle.
Electronic zoom
SPARK changes between narrow and wide illumination electronically. Choose a tighter beam for reach or a wider beam for nearby coverage.

Questions, answered.

Help with choosing, delivery and support.

What do the runtime figures mean?

The manufacturer lists six hours at the 300 lm setting and over two hours at the 1,000 lm setting. Test conditions and output over time have not been supplied. These figures do not establish continuous maximum output.

Which light should I choose?

SLB is designed for concentrated, long-range illumination. Use our light finder to compare it with handheld dive lights and macro-photography lights.
